Lateral Expansion Joints are specially designed to absorb lateral (side-to-side) movement in piping systems caused by thermal expansion, misalignment, seismic activity, or structural settlement. Unlike axial bellows, these joints are equipped with tie rods or hinges to absorb movement perpendicular to the pipe axis, while restraining pressure thrust.Key Features
